dervish gaze(2006)
Dervish Gaze is an attempt to lift a dynamic glass piece off of the horizontal plane using stainless steel. Using a variety of colors, I've incorporated a flowing shape with an inside curve, to take advantage of the way glass can move an image around. The stainless is sandblased and has a mat grey look, contrasting with the high polish of the glass. A one of a kind, it has the sense of traditional sculpture while using very contemporary materials.
